Meet our Ducks

Patrick is a Cayuga duck and is a beautiful green color. He is a domestic duck and was found dumped in a pond. He came into the animal hospital with some deep wounds but luckily, they were not fatal. With some wound care he healed in a month or so. He was introduced to Dilly and they were quite smitten with each other. They have been inseparable ever since.

Dilly was in TSC with all the ducklings for sale. She had a severe head tilt and was unable to move or eat. Gregg noticed her and informed one of the associates. He said they will “take her out back. “Gregg asked if he could take her instead and luckily, they did. It turns out she had a vitamin deficiency and was rehabilitated in a short time. She is a very boisterous girl and knows what she likes

These three are all Muscovy ducks. Although they came to us at different times they were all dumped in ponds as ducklings. Domestic ducks do not fly or have the survival skills of wild ducks.

Cleo and Corrigan were introduced while they were both pretty young and hit it off right way.

Corrigan is an extremely happy and vocal boy and wags his tail feathers like crazy.

Bowie is a Mallard/ domestic hybrid duck which means he can not fly. This happens when people release their domestic ducks in the wild not only endangering the domestic duck but all of the offspring as well.

He was living in a small cage in an animal hospital for 2 years because he is missing ½ of his upper bill most likely due to a predator. There were no options for him and was facing euthanasia
